This investment has proven to be indispensable. 2003 During the summer an industrial fire virtually destroyed the facilities and machinery of the company. Luckily no one was injured in the fire. Business activities continued in temporary facilities.. 2004 In the spring, about a half a year after the fire, the ruins were repaired and a much bigger and better 10,000 m2 facility was erected on the site. Manufacturing and storage facilities are now noticeably larger than before the fire. New machines have replaced those destroyed by the fire. The most significant investments include Laser Punch LP6 and Laser Brilliance LB6 machines combined with an automated FMS Night Train storage system. 2006 Expansion of the welding department started. Expanding the existing facilities contributed naturally to our vision to provide versatile services for our customers through one single contact. The welding facilities, technology and machinery grew significantly, which increased our delivery capacity noticeably. The expansion included also investing in an own pressing department. The presswork products aid developing our service vision and ensure flexible material flow in the assembly department. 2011 In July 2011 Laine-Tuotanto became part of Swedish Koncentra group. | | | | | |
